OREGON STATE SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION offers a Handgun Safety Course online that was designed, created and approved by ALL 36 COUNTY SHERIFFS in OREGON.  It is a quick and easy course you can complete at your pace, in the privacy of your own home.  The course was designed with continuing education in mind and everyone is welcome to visit this site for information regarding current issues and questions.   However, we do recommend speaking to your local Sheriff's Office CHL Unit for accurate information.

When you have all required documents, filled out your application and completed your handgun competency course contact the Sheriff's Office 541-396-7800 to schedule an appointment.
