STATEWIDE SUPPORT

The Oregon State Sheriffs Association provides excellent education and training opportunities for Sheriff's Office personnel and support and endorse legislation for Oregon Sheriffs.  The Civil Command structure and Concealed Handgun Licensing Training provides educational opportunities to law enforcement statewide as well as providing a network of experts to draw upon as there are always new questions and one-of-a-kind situations that one employee may need assistance handling.  OSSA also has a scholarship program and supports the Oregon Fallen Officer program, Search and Rescue, 911 Advisory Board, Marine Board, Jail Inspection Training, Sheriffs Academy, Seatbelt Grant Program, Mounted Posse Program and many, many more. The OSSA is a statewide organization, however, the benefits they provide to law enforcement benefits all Oregonians and those visiting our state.   http://oregonsheriffs.org/ossa-programs

You can donate to them directly and dependent upon the level of membership, you will be entitled to such things as the OSSA Monthly Magazine, a t-shirt, and other items.  http://oregonsheriffs.org

KEEP YOUR MONEY LOCAL BY DONATING TO ONE OF OUR VOLUNTEER GROUPS

While there are many divisions of the Sheriff's Office, there are an equal number of volunteer support groups, citizens just like yourself, who provide outstanding services to the citizens of Coos County or other areas where their services are needed.  These groups consist of every day citizens, most of whom, have full time jobs in addition to their volunteer work.  All of these citizen groups have one thing in common, they rely solely upon donations from the public.  If you would like to donate to one of these group you may do so in person or by submitting a check payable to Coos County, but on the memo line, please indicate which group you would like to donate to, as we have many.  Donations can be dropped off in person or mailed to: Coos County Sheriff's Office, Attn: Donation, 250 N Baxter, Coquille, Oregon 97423.
