The Coos County Animal Shelter off Hwy 101 needs a full time Shelter Operator. If you love working with animals, we encourage you to apply. This busy position will clean, feed and care for the shelter dogs and cats in the mornings (with the help of dedicated volunteers), then handle front desk duties with the general public in the afternoon, including adoption paperwork, answering phones, returning voicemails, etc.
We prefer previous experience handling animals or livestock. Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. $21 per hour. If you love working with animals and the general public, and you are interested in helping people pick their forever pets, please consider completing an application.

ANIMAL CONTROL
We protect public safely and animal welfare by enforcing Oregon Laws. Often Animal Control intervention is needed to mediate a solution, enforce laws, or investigate damage or aggression complaints involving dogs. Before calling Animal Control, try to talk with neighbors about the problem.
Our goal is to provide solutions and maintain good relations within the community.
