Steps to Development

1. Contact you local land use (Planning) Office to understand what is permitted based on the zoning.  If property is located within the City limits please contact the appropriate city.  If the property is located outside the incorporated city boundary contact the Coos County Planning Department. 541-396-7770
2. Contact Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to talk about any prior septic permits or how to obtain a feasible for undeveloped property.  Unless you are located within a sanitation district or the property is served by city sanitation then contact the appropriate sanitation district or city for sanitation information. 541-269-2721
3. Contact Coos County Building Department for information regarding building permits and code requirements. 541-266-1098
