Know Your Contractor

If you are paying someone to do any work on your house, they need to be legally licensed and bonded through the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board (CCB). 

Contractors licensed through the CCB are required to maintain their insurance standings to perform the work within their specific disciplines 

The CCB has created this "Selecting and Working with a Contractor" pamphlet for consumers. This offers tips to protect yourself from hiring an unlicensed builder.

The CCB also provides a search tool for you to verify the contractor's license information.
