Deputy District Attorney II

The Coos County District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for a criminal trial attorney with at least two years of experience to lead our unique Justice Reinvestment Act Program.  This program was the first in the state to imbed a prosecutor with our local Community Corrections program to work hand in hand with Probation/Parole Officers. 

Salary range is $93,756.00 - $142,488.00 per year DOE, with excellent benefits.  County pays 98% of health care benefits for employee and family, and provides 6% towards Public Employee Retirement System.   $5,000 in relocation costs for out-of-County applicants; excellent support staff, and you will be able to handle handle a case from charging to completion.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• At least two years experience with the Oregon criminal justice system.
• Membership in the Oregon State Bar.
• Must pass a background check including CJIS Certification.
• Must have working knowledge and experience with the Oregon Felony Sentencing Guidelines.
