Upcoming Community Flu Vaccine Clinics

The Health Department will bill Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oregon, Pacific Source, and Oregon Health Plan insurance at the Community Flu Shot Clinics. A copy of the insurance card must be provided at the time of service. For those self-paying by cash or check, the discounted price for a flu shot is $20.00.

 

Flu shots are also available by appointment at the Health Department. For questions or to schedule an appointment at the Health Department, call (541) 756-2020 ext. 510 or ext. 522.

Flu shots will be available to students, parents, teachers, and staff of Coos County Schools for a fee.  However, free flu vaccine is provided for children who are not covered by health insurance.

Seasonal flu vaccine is recommended for everyone 6 months and older.  This fall, the seasonal flu vaccine protects against H1N1 and 2 other kinds of flu.  (The nasal spray is not available at these sites.)

A parent (or guardian) must be present to sign the consent forms for children.  The Health Department can bill these insurance plans: Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oregon, Pacific Source, and Oregon Health Plan.  A copy of the insurance card must be provided at the time of service. For adults who are self-paying by cash or check, the discounted price for a flu shot is $20.00.  There is no charge for children who do not have health insurance.
