Substance Abuse Officer
The Substance Abuse
Officer's primary duties are to coordinate the "DROP" drug testing program. This
position coordinates the drug testing of all offenders supervised
by the Community Corrections Office. Includes scheduling of
testing, obtaining samples, submission of samples to the testing
laboratory, and tracking of test results.
As a collateral duty, this
position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all
office automation equipment. Maintains the interface with the
Department of Corrections mainframe computer, trains staff,
troubleshoots inhouse problems, and recommends new purchases in
an attempt to stay abreast with the latest technology.
