Mental Health Program
![]()
This program provides a Mental Health Counselor to work exclusively with corrections offenders. The Community Corrections Mental Health Program is a unique program in that the Community Corrections Director maintains program oversight with clinical supervision being provided by the County Mental Health Director. Close coordination between the two controlling authorities insures that only appropriate offenders are referred to the program and that once an offender is referred they receive the appropriate required services.
Referred to this program are those high risk offenders who have been ordered to mental health treatment by the releasing authority and those offenders who voluntarily request therapy due to serious mental health issues. The program also provides a limited number of evaluations for inclusion into formal reports to the Court and Parole Board.
