Coos County Healthy Start is a home visiting program for first time parents. We define a first time parent as someone who has had little opportunity to parent in the past. This may be your or your partner's first child, or you may have lost a child in the past. A certified parent educator will visit your family on a regular basis, weekly at first, to share information about your new baby's growth and development. This program is especially helpful for brand new parents who want to make the best of their new role as mom and dad. The parent educator can also help families with referrals to needed services, such as housing, job training , and transportation.
Eligibility
