Congratulations! Welcome to the world of parenting!

Our parenting programs enroll your baby as the client. You will receive home visits individualized for your child. Our Public Health Registered Nurses work with Public Health Associates to provide a program that includes:

• Medical Screening

• Growth and Development Screening

• Parenting and Discipline Techniques based on your child’s age and brain development

• Tips to create a safe, healthy and nurturing home environment

• Help accessing local services and events for your child

Babies and children are not adults in small bodies. They are babies, and they don’t know ANYTHING except what you, the parent, teach them! Parenting is an exciting journey. Coos County Public Health home visitors are here to help you create a map that leads your child towards a healthy and fulfilling future.

To ensure effective communication, Public Health will make interpreters available at no cost to you for home visiting services. Let us know if you need assistance with communication due to hearing, vision and/or speech impairments, or if you want to communicate in a language other than English.

Handicapped accessible entry is located on the east side of the building (back entry).

For more information or to enroll call 541-751-2439. Please let us know if you need special accommodations.
