The District Attorney, in conjunction with the Medical Examiner, is charged with the investigation of deaths that occur as a result of homicide, accident, deaths that are unattended or are suspicious in nature.
Our Chief Deputy Medical Examiner is Ms. Kris Karcher.  Kris has worked in this capacity for Coos County since 1998.  Ms. Karcher is a Forensic Nurse who has been internationally recognized for her work as a Forensic Nurse.
Michelle in our office is the support staff person assigned to Medical Examiner matters.
