The Criminal Division handles all of the criminal cases referred to this office. In addition, the Criminal Divison handles other cases such as juvenile dependency matters, forfeitures and involuntary mental commitment hearings.

Mark joined the office in August 2013 as the Chief Deputy District Attorney. Mark earned a bachelor of arts degree from Utah State University, and Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore with concentration in criminal law and trial advocacy. Mark began his career as a prosecutor in the State’s Attorney’s Office for Baltimore City where he focused on major narcotics cases and wiretap investigations. Mark handles measure 11 felonies. ||Karen began working in Coos County in 1995 as a Deputy District Attorney. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Willamette University College of Law in 1995. Karen handles all juvenile related cases (crimes and dependency). ||Ryan started in Coos County in 2009 as a Deputy District Attorney. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2000 from Loras College. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Drake University in 2008. Ryan currently handles narcotics prosecutions and serious property crimes.
